My name is Michael Pulte. I am a rising sophomore at the University of Michigan studying Microbiology with a minor in Law, Justice, and Social Change. I am originally from Gunnison, Colorado, but went to high school in Grand Rapids, MI.
Although I am currently a Microbio major, I am interested in going to law school and eventually work in public policy. I would like to improve the world as much as I can. I really enjoy the work I do in my lab, however I do not believe that research is the long term career path I am meant to take. I currently work in a lab which focuses on stress hormones in everyday people as well as people with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and certain phobias.
In my spare time, I enjoy kayaking, skiing, or just being generally active outdoors. I love watching movies and listening to music with friends as well as trying new restaurants.
One thing about me that I would consider unique is that I love peppermint. If I could eat a candy cane every day I would!
