What, So What?, Now What?

During the community event, I observed some great teamwork between people who just met for a great cause. It was fun meeting new people and working together to come up with the best possible solutions to challenges. I also enjoyed seeing how happy the kids were to get their bikes for the summer.

I didn't necessarily learn anything new during the event, but it was interesting to get to know everyone in my group. I originally expected to be building bikes during most of the event, instead of doing team-building challenges. Those challenges ended up making the experience more interesting and fun, however. the only thing I would change about the event, is slightly shortening its duration. I could apply this experience to work in my lab by trying to keep in mind when it is more efficient to work with someone as a team or alone.
