Who Am I

Hello :)

My name is Alexa Giovanatti. 

I grew up near Auburn Hills, MI. Currently I am studying as pre-med student, but my major is in Spanish. In the future, I hope to become involved in international humanitarian work. My focus in on extending healthcare throughout Latin America. 

Outside of class I enjoy being outdoors; running, playing pick-up games of soccer or basketball with friends, or adventuring around. I also like to read and watch movies when I can find the time. 

My favorite life experience so far was visiting Guatemala for a medical mission trip this past spring break. A handful of us American students were privileged to assist doctors at a volunteer clinic near Antigua. We administered medications, took vital signs, and interacted with patients in broken Spanish. It was an amazing, humbling trip. I would love to return!
