"What, So What?, Now What?"

What?
During the event I saw a community of students coming together to boost a few childrens spirits but I also saw a lot of camaraderie between the students of all of the different programs.

So What?
I didn't learn any new skills but I did hone my teamwork skills. I expected this to just be a charity event. The teamwork enhanced the experience for all involved, it made it a fun day. Although the team building exercises were valuable and inventive, I wish we were able to spend a little more time building the bikes so that we could help more children. Each team member had different skills that helped with the tasks. Some of the students were able to come up with a good method for the tasks while others were better equipped to complete the tasks.

Now What?
In my lab there is a lot of teamwork, for example every friday our lab comes together to help members of the team with interpretations of their findings. The team building activities strengthened my teamwork skills which will help in these friday meetings. I think our team did great with the team activities. We were able to learn from trial and error and improve upon our current ideas well.
